About This Class:

Chronic Pain: Successful treatment of chronic pain requires reaching the pain habituation factors effecting the brain, nervous system, myofascia, and physiologic inflammatory processes. Most massage approaches succeed well at releasing muscular tension. But very few massage approaches succeed at dissolving the physiologic, autonomic and neurologic patterning that
perpetuates chronic pain, which means after a period of relaxation, patient symptoms lives to see another day.

The Trager® approach: helps down-regulate pain sensitivity through its trauma informed, rhythmic, facially focused and hypnogogic approach that goes beyond pain relief to returning the neuro-limbic system to it’s innate, balanced state, resulting in more normative neuro-psycho-physiologic function.

From this state, the body, mind and nervous system have, ‘learned,’ or, ‘become reacquainted with’ a natural movement state of well being and a movement vocabulary from which they can build to achieve freedom from chronic pain and tension. Trager® stands alone and beautifully compliments other styles of massage. Come and learn the language of the neuromuscular system, and turn temporary release of tension into ongoing dissolution of chronic pain patterns.
