Regulating Respiration Through Bodywork

You will greatly expand your dynamic palpatory skills, verbal and somatic communication, and capacity to work with breath in an array of patient presentations. We will draw from the fields of vocal mechanics, pranayama, paced breathing, and other eastern and western modalities for affecting breath, bringing well being to the entire being.

You’ll learn
• The many disorders of respiration and specific techniques for physical, emotional, structural, and neurological holding patterns.
• The physiology and kinesiology of breathing and to differentiate holding in the lungs, ribs, primary and secondary respiratory muscles. 

FEE:
This class is free of charge as it will be videotaped for educational and website use. We ask you bring a $35 check donation made to victims of violence.

INSTRUCTOR:
Joe Rodin MA, LMP, CTP., has been practicing bodywork for twenty-one years. A certified Trager® Practitioner, he’s also studied and taught cranial sacral therapy and other forms of manual therapy in Washington and California. He’s worked at the nationally recognized TMJ Orofacial Disorders Center in Seattle where he’s treated extensive jaw, head, neck and facial problems.
